There are better
Reading an ad for Mothers new line, this product being one, I decided to give it a try. They claim it leaves a deep long lasting satin finish - perfect, I dont want my tires to look like shiny plastic. It does leave a no shine finish, but it doesn't really give the standout deep black "satin" finish I had hoped. Furthermore some of the products that I have been happy with lasted 2-4 times as long, this fading noticably between weekly bathing.

Tire Slime
This is a good product if you like your tires to look new but not too shiney. It could last longer and attract less dirt though. Amazon shipped it pretty quickly considering it was for free.

Just what I needed
I used this to rub out rust spots that had blossomed on the surface of the enamel on an old typewriter. The spots rubbed right off, and without damaging the underlying paint at all that I could see. That worked so well I decided to attack the stubborn scuff marks left on my wall by my black chairs. The marks had been all but surgically embedded, but the Mothers Mag & Aluminum Polish made some pretty serious inroads--they're MUCH less noticeable now. A little of this goes a long way, and the scent is light and pleasant. The granny with driving goggles logo is completely irrelevant to this review, but still very fun. I recommend Mothers Mag & Aluminum Polish for the most delicate operations.

Good wheel brush
I'll be honest, I'm not even sure exactly what part of the wheel this brush is supposed to clean. But I needed a brush to clean the rims of my car (which were pretty dirty) and this generally did the trick. First off, I did not use a high pressure water hose, just a normal one, this brush, and a bucket with car soap. And by and large it helped get most of the grime gently off my rims. The bristles are definitely soft, which is good because it won't scratch your rims. At the same time though, because the bristles were soft, it was unable to get out some of the heavy dirt that was caked in. Also, this brush has a relatively wide area so I could clean the outer surface of my tire and rim quickly. However, because it was big, it was difficult getting access to the nooks and crannies of my rims. For that, I recommend getting a Mother's Detail Brush which is more narrow (think of it as dental floss vs. toothbrush) Mothers Detail Brush Set - 2 Pack. The brush itself is quite durable and ergonomic, and not too heavy. One other issue I had is that once I cleaned my wheels once, a lot of dirt got into the bristles and i was unable to wash that color out. Though I don't think it tracks dirt once I washed it out.

Worked great for me
I purchased this brush because I'd tried everything else to clean the brake dust and other grime off my aluminum wheels without any luck. It took quite a bit of scrubbing, but this brush did the trick, without scratching the wheels. The only negative is that while it work fine for my wheels, it may be too large to effectively get in between the spokes on some wheels. Otherwise, it's a great addition to my car detailing kit.

Nice Durable Shine
Mother's FX Tire Shine really lasts. It works its way into the tire and stayed strong for a few days. Even after the shine faded the tire had a nice rich black look to it. I have used Black Magic in the past, and that product would sling all over the wheel after driving. Have not experienced any sling with the FX! Very good product.

Nice bottle
The results are the same you would get with similar products from other brands. The shine stays for a few days only. The bottle, however, looks way better than those of competing products.

Great Spoke Cleaner
I use this brush to clean the spokes on my motorcycle wheel. It really cut the time down to nothing.

Work Great
One of the worst parts of washing the car is cleaning the rims. I hate trying to get into all the openings. I have all chroe rims and this brush allows me to get into all the open spaces; bristles are soft enough to clean without scratching the rim.

Does the job!
Straightforward: they do the job they were set out to do. They do loose the bristles pretty easy. These are used on chrome rims and it makes the cleaning process even easier! Perfect! Another great Mother's product!

Powerful Stuff
I'm not much of a car person, but I just used this stuff on my Subaru and it did a great job of getting almost of the brake dust and gunk off the wheels. Maybe I should have used another round though, since it had been far, far too long since those wheels had been cleaned! It was definitely easy and quick as promised. Just sprayed on and hosed off a few minutes later.

Great Product
I've used several other "wheel cleaners" that make all kinds of claims about how well they work. None of them has ever worked for me.

I picked-up a bottle of this at the Mother's booth at the "Good Guys" event in Del Mar last weekend. It is amazing stuff and works EXACTLY as claimed. Spray it on a cool wheel, wait 2 minutes, spray it off. It gets the grime out of every corner and the inside of the rim. It also does a great job on calipers. After using it on 2 cars I ordered a case of the stuff.

Oh yea, and I just used it clean a stainless BBQ grill. It works great for that job too!

Great everyday wax
I use this regularly, and it works well between a full wax job. No buildup or haze, and it leaves the surface slick. Really, wax on - wax off!

An effective liquid wax but it is somewhat thin.
I have this particular brand of spray wax cleaner which I use for my home service auto-detailing business. I originally went with this brand due to its convenience factor, which it does get top points for. Instead of a thick, gooey paste, this wax is entirely liquid which is applied by simply spraying onto the surface of the car's finish in very large volumes and then spreaded on evenly with a sponge or microfiber cloth. You do have to use a rather large amount, though, otherwise the wax is wiped off with the first applicator before you've even had a chance to coat the entire surface area. Since it's liquid, it is rather thin and is very hard to see on the car when it's time to buff it off. A good wax for the most part but I probably wouldn't suggest using it to coat the entire car ; it's mostly better thought of as a touch-up for small sections and areas.

I never thought I'd have to polish a computer, but...
This stuff actually works OK.

I just got a new Dell XPS 420 with the shiney black finish. Looks great new, but I'd think if I breathed on it too hard I'd scratch it. I got some scratches along the top right edge just from moving a little black box gadget (one with little rubber feet no less) on and off the top of the machine.

So, I decided to experiment with plastic polish. Worst case it doesn't work, and I'm out a few bucks, I thought.

Well, this stuff doesn't make the scratches go away, but it doesn't dull the finish of the computer and it makes the scratches much less visible. In fact, I can now only see the scratches if I look at the machine at a certain angle where the overhead lights reflect directly off the machine. Be careful to only use a clean microfiber cloth.

So, for a few bucks I can keep my new computer looking new. Cool!

Excellent product for polishing clear plastic, headlights and taillights, even used it on my scratched home theater receiver display glass, looks like new, but use a microfibre cloth, so as not to add scratches while polishing.

Mother's is the best
I've used Mother's products, particularly the Sealer and Glaze and the Carnuba Wax for years, and always been satisfied with the results. I have a 2006 Milano Red Acura RSX,(the last year that they were made) and I treat it better than some people treat their kids,according to my wife.
I just used the Pre-wax cleaner for the first time, and it works great.
I even tried it on my wife's Civic EX, on some minor scratches that appeared, and it took them right out. I have never had a problem or not been happy with any Mother's product that I tried. Very good product.

I've tried alot of other product because I was unable to find this brand in stores near me. I didn't like anything else due to smell or residue left behind. (a white chalk look) A found this on-line a year or more ago and have been ordering ever since. The shipping is stated on the page when ordering so it was no surprise to me. I found TCP Global to have the cheapest price AND the cheapest shipping on this product. I order 6 at a time to save on shipping and it keeps fine. All in All... It Works
Had some old Wheels...after sanding them down with 1000 grit and then 2000 grit, and last 2500 grit wet and dry sandpaper... mothers mag polish worked great

metal polish done right
You can clean any kind of metal with this product. I think you should buy it. For the most part it's like copper and silver polish, only it's intended for metal. Sometimes it may leave a few streaks here and there if you don't wipe the surface of the metal entirely. If that happens, apply a touch of water and continue rubbing until the streaks go away.

Easier than I thought
This product is much easier than I thought. I have some polished aluminum ProComp Series 1059 wheels. I went to the car wash and they used some wheel liquid which left major water marks all over my wheels which eventually started to corrode. I then bought this product and some terry cloth towels off of amazon.

I then bought:
$1.59 spray bottle
$3.00 microfiber towels (pack of 10)
both from Walgreens.

I went home sprayed water on my wheels to get them wet and applied a light coat of Mothers polish to my wheels with my terry cloth towels. Eventually a dark soot started to appear and then I used the microfiber towel to buff off the polish. My wheels have never looked this good. It takes a good 10 minutes/wheel to get my wheels polished but it is so worth it. I think I will do this every 3 weeks.

I was worried that there would be streaks or I would apply it wrong. My wheels came out perfect. Great Product.

The Best "Instant" Detailer on the Market Today -- Brilliant Shine & Depth
I have been using "instant detailers"for over a decade, mostly the Meguiar's product in the purple spray bottle. It did a good job, smelled nice, and left the car clean. But as I am always looking for a better shine, I decided to give the Mother's Instant Detailer a try, and I'm glad I did. Indeed, until I decided to try the Mother's product, I assumed that all "instant detailers" were pretty much alike. Not so! In my experience, the Mother's product not only cleans the car but it also produces greater shine, depth and gloss. It also seems to brighten the finish as well. My take: it's a superior product.

Mother's Instant Detailer is very mild, it smells great, and makes a noticeable difference in a car's appearance. I no longer use the other brand.

Since discovering Mother's Instant Detailer I have tried a number of other Mother's wax products, and found them to be at least a notch or two above the current offerings of the major retail store competitors. Of course, car detailing goals and results can be very subjective; nonetheless, for the discriminating car enthusiast who wants their car to look its best, do yourself a favor and give this product a try -- I think you'll like it.

What can I say? Mothers makes great stuff for auto care and this is one of them. Just make sure you read the instructions and do it right. Also, this is not going to raise any death from its grave, it the wheel is pretty busted it may just not have hope.

You Won't Believe Your Eyes
I've used Mother's products for years. I've been using the 3 step cleaner, sealer and glaze, and carnuba wax and you can really see the difference. I have a 2006 Acura RSX(last year they made them), Milano Red
and I can't tell how many compliments I get on it's appearance. Friends are always asking how I get it to look so good,and I've made quite a few converts. I also use their Leather cleaner/conditioner on the interior which works great and leaves the seats looking good. I've had occasion to contact Mother's customer service, and they were a pleasure to deal with. They really seem to understand how important it is to satisfy customers. You won't be disappointed with any of their products.

Doesn't get any better.
First you polish your car and after a few hours you apply this product. You apply this product every week for 3 months and your car comes alive, like smiling at you.
I finished restoring a 35 yrs old BMW classic and this is the last stage.

One of the best over-the-counter waxes you can buy
I bought this product for list price in a local auto store. Expensive (Amazon much cheaper), sure, but it goes on pretty thin, so the bottle should last a while.

It was really easy to put on and remove. I used a cotton applicator to put the wax over. It hazed over immediately and just a little pressure was needed to get the wax on the car. I didn't have to rub hard or anything. I waited just a minute (probably not even necessary to wait that long) and buffed off with a good microfiber towel (the Vroom stuff from Target worked great). I really shouldn't say "buffed", because I didn't have to press all that hard--the wax came off with light to moderate pressure.

I found this quite a bit easier to apply than the Meg's NXT wax.

The wax looks great. It has a deeper look to it than most pure synthetics, but also has some good shine to it. My car has a darker color and it added some depth to it. I applied it to my friend's black car, and it looked pretty wet.

It does have some cleaners in it, so it removed whatever fillers I had in my last wax and exposed the swirls a little more. If you are bothered by your car's swirls, you might want to consider a carnauba wax, as it will mask them better than this one.

I've had it on my car for 2 months now and the water is still beading nicely. I doubt it will last much longer, but I think that 2 months is not bad for a half-synthetic wax like this one.

Is this the top-of-the-line best-ever wax? No, but it DOES look great, and it is easy to apply. So I recommend it to all my friends who hate spending a lot of time on waxing their car.

Good stuff
I had used Mothers wax about 20 years ago because it very good. Well it's still a very good wax. This wax followed by a coat of "top coat reflections" is just amazing. Glad I'm using it again and so is my car :)

Good Product
Goes on easy, and wipes off super, amazinglyl easy, and gives a very nice finish.
I'll wait a few months to see how long it lasts, but the application was a pleasant experience.
One thing - they said it doesn't get the black trim white, but it looks like it does - the white is starting to show about 2 weeks after I applied it. It is possible that it is from my previous wax, but I don't think so since I covered that with Mother's Back-to-Black product.

pwr ball
good concept but the design is week. my powerball broke on the first try. the metal rod came loose from the foam. i was disappointed very much. dont waste your money. i still like other mothers products and i like chip foose and foose-design.

Splatter / Drill over heats
Its not easy to keep the ball from splattering wax. Regardless if you control the splatter, your drill pays the price. My variable speed drill (Set low on like 500rpm) would get so hot I was afraid the drill was going to over heat. The great thing about this ball however is that it handles curves great. Perhaps this is better for wheels or special cars with a lot of curves. I dont feel its better then an orbit waxer or just doing it by hand.

Same work, more splatter!!
This product works okay, the wax that came with it is pretty good! The powerball has such a small surface area, that when you wax it takes a bit of time. Also for the trigger happy people, it splatters wax very easily, making more work than its worth. I probably rather just hand wax.

I have a detail shop that puts out about 400-500 vehicles a month.And we have been in business for 8 years now. So you can say that i have seen or used just about everyones waxes/polishes. No Effort

I recently purchased a used 2001 Jimmy that needed attention to the finish really bad. I used a new Mother's Powerball for Paint (where I got a sample bottle of this wax) and another brand polish to remove a lot of old haze, water stains, and paint marks. After the polish treatment I hand applied this wax in the sun which was not recommended. It still applied and wiped off effortlessly and left a really deep shine. The owner saw the vehicle and could not believe how good it now looked. I went out and purchased the large bottle and have used it on my other truck as well as my motorcycle.

These days waxes all seem to leave a great shine, however when one product wipes off with little effort and a whole vehicle can be done without getting tired arms you have to place that product at the top of the "buy list". This product is one of those.

Back to Black...until the next rain!
I have read all the reviews for Mother's Back To Black, and frankly, I am a little surprised that no one has mentioned the "rain factor" with this product. I used to use this on my Volvo bumpers because over the years, they had faded from black to grey. The Back to Black did make the bumpers look nice; however, as soon as the next rainfall, the stuff would run off the bumpers and cause really ugly streaks. Likewise, every time I washed the car, applications of the Back to Black became an additional step during the washing process. Well, I got tired of that really fast.

For those who use this product and love having to continually apply and re-apply it over and over again, enjoy! However, for those who are looking for a permanent remedy to your faded trim, use Forever Black. It is also available here on Amazon. I applied 6 coats of the stuff back in September of last year (2007). As of right now, the bumpers on my car look BETTER than they did on the day I bought the car (3 years ago). The bumpers look fantastic and the Forever Black is not affected by rain, or any other weather conditions. Actually, I am quite shocked that Forever Black is not better known that it is.

Works better then advertised...
I've tried every blackening product out there, Black-Magic, Armor All, Meguiar's, and even my own concoction and none work as well as this. Not only that, it lasts about 3-4 weeks outside in the weather, which I find amazing.

Also it seems like the more you use it, the better it looks and the longer it stays black. Plus it has a pleasant smell, which is always nice.

The only complaint I have is that it is a bit runny, which can make applying it a bit hard, but it's still worth every cent.

A must have for anyone with black trim/molding!

I must say, I am honestly impressed!
I own a '99 Dodge Ram that I am in the process of fixing up. After being discouraged at the cost of how much it would be to simply replace the assorted plasctic trim on the truck, I started lookinf gor other options.

I happened to stumble across this item at a local Auto Zone. I decided that I would give it a try, since it was only like 5 or 6 dollars. I can honestly say, I really didn;t expect it to do too much. Wow, was I wrong! Immediately after I purchased this product, I went to a local car wash to give a try. When I first started rubbing it in, my dull, tired, gray looking plastic immediately returned to a factory-like, brand-new appearance.

At first I thought this was just a "wet-effect", and that soon after it dried, it would return back to its normal, worn, gray-look.

Works Great on Clear Coiated Wheels Too!

While this product is intended for metal polishing, using it with the proper polishes and wax on clear-coated alloy wheels yields awesome results. The once weathered wheels on my Dodge Ram 2500 diesel pickup are now "as-new" and consistently fetch compliments.

Put On After You Are All Done
AWESOME!!! This product is wonderful. Take if from me I have been detailing for years and this exceeded my expectations. To be applied over any wax or sealant will not haze when applied and is extremely easy to buff off. Requires minimal effort at all it's like running a microfiber towel over your car it's that easy. I found that it works the best when applied over Liquid Glass which is a polish that carries a lifetime warranty on their product. You can find Liquid Glass at your nearest automotive store or at a local Autozone. I will keep on buying this product as long as they make it. Mothers recommends using their Reflections carnauba wax before the top coat which I am sure is great I have yet to do this since I love the Liquid Glass so much. The appearance of your car will change dramatically especially if you have a dark car. I recommend before you apply this product make sure that the vehicle has been clayed to remove any contaminates before applying the topcoat. Hope this review has helped you in deciding whether this is a great product or not.

Perfection
If you use Mothers Clay Bar first, then wax your car... then you put this on last!!! WOW, baby soft, smooth paint, and shines like I have never seen before... If your car is black, then you will see the greatest amount of shine... on a white car.. well, whats the point, lol.

Hands down, as part of the above process, will give your car a deeper shine than any wax alone, that I have seen.

As a detaling nut and after polishing and waxing this is the one very last step: just perfect!

Great product, definitely worth $20 apiece!
I worked at the detailing department at a car wash and know something about buffers. This thing works *great* on paint, just like a commercial grade buffer wheel. If you have experience with a regular buffer wheel, this is an easy adaptation. It's small enough to handle easily, but big enough to do a fairly quick job.

I use a corded drill for doing a large vehicle. Unless your cordless has brand new batteries, they may run out. But you will save money by not having to buy a buffing tool. 2 of these babies (1 to polish, 1 to wax) and a good drill is all you will ever need. They clean up by soaking in dish soap solution for an hour or two (use enough soap). I definitely recommend this product to anyone who wants a good looking car and wants to save about $100 on equipment!

Unbelievable Product: Mother's California Gold Clay Bar
I first bought the Mother's Clay Bar system a year ago. It sat on the shelf until I tried it on my two year old Honda CR-V.
It took less than 45 minutes to treat and wax my whole car and the vehicle now looks better than when I bought it. You can actually hear those little rust causing impurities coming off the finish. Stop destroying your clear coat or settling for less than a perfectly smooth finish get this product! I do not own stock in, or work for, Mother's Car Care prducts.

After reading numerous raving reviews here at Amazon.com and at several other sites, and learning that auto clay was safe for clear coat paints because it works through a non-abrasive process, I decided to give it a try -- and boy, was I glad I did!

My car was covered with a stubborn deposit of dirt and grime that simply would not come off with a car wash. It seemed that the dirt and grime had gotten lodged in the paint and wouldn't budge no matter how hard I tried washing the car. After every car wash, I would run my fingers through the paint and it would still feel gritty.

That was when I learned about Mothers 07240 California Gold Clay Bar Paint Saving System Kit. The results were astounding! After using it, the paint no longer felt gritty but glassy-smooth. The paint was no longer dulled by contaminants and the car looked like it has a new coat of paint! I was immensely pleased with the results.

Unlike a lot of car polish or polishing compounds that use abrasion to strip away surface contaminants, auto clay simply picks up surface contaminants and locks them into the clay. The clay looks and feels exactly like plasticine (Play-doh®) and it is used along with the included "lubricant" spray (actually, an auto soap that provide lots of suds -- like Meguiar's Gold Class -- will work equally well.)

Mind you, car polish still has its place in paint restoration because claying will not remove scratches; only a car polish or a polishing compound (harsher) can do that. And remember, always follow the claying with an application of wax to shield your paint from new contaminants. Also, clay your car every so often and you will keep the paint looking like new!

I am giving Mothers 07240 California Gold Clay Bar Paint Saving System Kit my highest recommendation. Go on, try it and see for yourself firsthand the difference it makes in your car paint. It's worth every penny and I'm sure you'll be glad you did!

The only clay bar kit you need!
I've used clay bar kits from four different manufacturers. All did the job fine (though some old Meguiar's clay bar caused some minor scratches in one car's paint). That said, this Mother's California Gold Clay Bar kit is a GREAT clay bar kit and it's very well priced.

As long as Mother's continues to make this kit I will continue to buy it.
