One of the best over-the-counter waxes you can buy
I bought this product for list price in a local auto store. Expensive (Amazon much cheaper), sure, but it goes on pretty thin, so the bottle should last a while.

It was really easy to put on and remove. I used a cotton applicator to put the wax over. It hazed over immediately and just a little pressure was needed to get the wax on the car. I didn't have to rub hard or anything. I waited just a minute (probably not even necessary to wait that long) and buffed off with a good microfiber towel (the Vroom stuff from Target worked great). I really shouldn't say "buffed", because I didn't have to press all that hard--the wax came off with light to moderate pressure.

I found this quite a bit easier to apply than the Meg's NXT wax.

The wax looks great. It has a deeper look to it than most pure synthetics, but also has some good shine to it. My car has a darker color and it added some depth to it. I applied it to my friend's black car, and it looked pretty wet.

It does have some cleaners in it, so it removed whatever fillers I had in my last wax and exposed the swirls a little more. If you are bothered by your car's swirls, you might want to consider a carnauba wax, as it will mask them better than this one.

I've had it on my car for 2 months now and the water is still beading nicely. I doubt it will last much longer, but I think that 2 months is not bad for a half-synthetic wax like this one.

Is this the top-of-the-line best-ever wax? No, but it DOES look great, and it is easy to apply. So I recommend it to all my friends who hate spending a lot of time on waxing their car.

Good stuff
I had used Mothers wax about 20 years ago because it very good. Well it's still a very good wax. This wax followed by a coat of "top coat reflections" is just amazing. Glad I'm using it again and so is my car :)

Good Product
Goes on easy, and wipes off super, amazinglyl easy, and gives a very nice finish.
I'll wait a few months to see how long it lasts, but the application was a pleasant experience.
One thing - they said it doesn't get the black trim white, but it looks like it does - the white is starting to show about 2 weeks after I applied it. It is possible that it is from my previous wax, but I don't think so since I covered that with Mother's Back-to-Black product.

pwr ball
good concept but the design is week. my powerball broke on the first try. the metal rod came loose from the foam. i was disappointed very much. dont waste your money. i still like other mothers products and i like chip foose and foose-design.

Splatter / Drill over heats
Its not easy to keep the ball from splattering wax. Regardless if you control the splatter, your drill pays the price. My variable speed drill (Set low on like 500rpm) would get so hot I was afraid the drill was going to over heat. The great thing about this ball however is that it handles curves great. Perhaps this is better for wheels or special cars with a lot of curves. I dont feel its better then an orbit waxer or just doing it by hand.

Same work, more splatter!!
This product works okay, the wax that came with it is pretty good! The powerball has such a small surface area, that when you wax it takes a bit of time. Also for the trigger happy people, it splatters wax very easily, making more work than its worth. I probably rather just hand wax.

The Best Wax Ever Produced.
I have a detail shop that puts out about 400-500 vehicles a month.And we have been in business for 8 years now. So you can say that i have seen or used just about everyones waxes/polishes. Mothers FX works great on the old cars as well as the newest 2006 models. I have witnessed the best results with one simple application. And it does last quite some time. It is the BEST product that I have ever used on a black or dark colored vehicles. NO MORE SWIRLS !! If applied right you will not experience those annoying swirls and small scratches that come with alot of the leading competitors.Anyone can use this. No Effort
This product i have used for years(on my 99 Jeep Cherokee) and it is one word - Awsome. It goes on and off with little to no effort and leaves a shine without the streaks. Helps to maintain its original shine.

Works as advertised and leaves a nice lasting shine!
I recently purchased a used 2001 Jimmy that needed attention to the finish really bad. I used a new Mother's Powerball for Paint (where I got a sample bottle of this wax) and another brand polish to remove a lot of old haze, water stains, and paint marks. After the polish treatment I hand applied this wax in the sun which was not recommended. It still applied and wiped off effortlessly and left a really deep shine. The owner saw the vehicle and could not believe how good it now looked. I went out and purchased the large bottle and have used it on my other truck as well as my motorcycle.

These days waxes all seem to leave a great shine, however when one product wipes off with little effort and a whole vehicle can be done without getting tired arms you have to place that product at the top of the "buy list". This product is one of those.

Back to Black...until the next rain!
I have read all the reviews for Mother's Back To Black, and frankly, I am a little surprised that no one has mentioned the "rain factor" with this product. I used to use this on my Volvo bumpers because over the years, they had faded from black to grey. The Back to Black did make the bumpers look nice; however, as soon as the next rainfall, the stuff would run off the bumpers and cause really ugly streaks. Likewise, every time I washed the car, applications of the Back to Black became an additional step during the washing process. Well, I got tired of that really fast.

For those who use this product and love having to continually apply and re-apply it over and over again, enjoy! However, for those who are looking for a permanent remedy to your faded trim, use Forever Black. It is also available here on Amazon. I applied 6 coats of the stuff back in September of last year (2007). As of right now, the bumpers on my car look BETTER than they did on the day I bought the car (3 years ago). The bumpers look fantastic and the Forever Black is not affected by rain, or any other weather conditions. Actually, I am quite shocked that Forever Black is not better known that it is.

Works better then advertised...
I've tried every blackening product out there, Black-Magic, Armor All, Meguiar's, and even my own concoction and none work as well as this. Not only that, it lasts about 3-4 weeks outside in the weather, which I find amazing.

Also it seems like the more you use it, the better it looks and the longer it stays black. Plus it has a pleasant smell, which is always nice.

The only complaint I have is that it is a bit runny, which can make applying it a bit hard, but it's still worth every cent.

A must have for anyone with black trim/molding!

I must say, I am honestly impressed!
I own a '99 Dodge Ram that I am in the process of fixing up. After being discouraged at the cost of how much it would be to simply replace the assorted plasctic trim on the truck, I started lookinf gor other options.

I happened to stumble across this item at a local Auto Zone. I decided that I would give it a try, since it was only like 5 or 6 dollars. I can honestly say, I really didn;t expect it to do too much. Wow, was I wrong! Immediately after I purchased this product, I went to a local car wash to give a try. When I first started rubbing it in, my dull, tired, gray looking plastic immediately returned to a factory-like, brand-new appearance.

At first I thought this was just a "wet-effect", and that soon after it dried, it would return back to its normal, worn, gray-look.

Ok but still not small enough
I bought this small one because their large Powerball is really too big to do normal-sized auto wheels. But this small one is 'still' too big to fit into my 15" wheels. I guess it was designed for a SUV. C'mon Mothers, how about a teeny one...

Mmmmmmmmm
This is one of the best car washes I've ever used. What surprised me is how great this stuff smells! It's really a nice touch when washing your car to have such a pleasant odor, no joke. But the bottom line is that this does a great job of cleaning the car without anything hazardous to your vehicle. I use this on my Porsche Boxster S and know many other Porsche owners who swear by it for good reason.

Put On After You Are All Done
AWESOME!!! This product is wonderful. Take if from me I have been detailing for years and this exceeded my expectations. To be applied over any wax or sealant will not haze when applied and is extremely easy to buff off. Requires minimal effort at all it's like running a microfiber towel over your car it's that easy. I found that it works the best when applied over Liquid Glass which is a polish that carries a lifetime warranty on their product. You can find Liquid Glass at your nearest automotive store or at a local Autozone. I will keep on buying this product as long as they make it. Mothers recommends using their Reflections carnauba wax before the top coat which I am sure is great I have yet to do this since I love the Liquid Glass so much. The appearance of your car will change dramatically especially if you have a dark car. I recommend before you apply this product make sure that the vehicle has been clayed to remove any contaminates before applying the topcoat. Hope this review has helped you in deciding whether this is a great product or not.

Perfection
If you use Mothers Clay Bar first, then wax your car... then you put this on last!!! WOW, baby soft, smooth paint, and shines like I have never seen before... If your car is black, then you will see the greatest amount of shine... on a white car.. well, whats the point, lol.

Hands down, as part of the above process, will give your car a deeper shine than any wax alone, that I have seen.

Great product, definitely worth $20 apiece!
I worked at the detailing department at a car wash and know something about buffers. This thing works *great* on paint, just like a commercial grade buffer wheel. If you have experience with a regular buffer wheel, this is an easy adaptation. It's small enough to handle easily, but big enough to do a fairly quick job.

I use a corded drill for doing a large vehicle. Unless your cordless has brand new batteries, they may run out. But you will save money by not having to buy a buffing tool. 2 of these babies (1 to polish, 1 to wax) and a good drill is all you will ever need. They clean up by soaking in dish soap solution for an hour or two (use enough soap). I definitely recommend this product to anyone who wants a good looking car and wants to save about $100 on equipment!

Unbelievable Product: Mother's California Gold Clay Bar
I first bought the Mother's Clay Bar system a year ago. It sat on the shelf until I tried it on my two year old Honda CR-V.
It took less than 45 minutes to treat and wax my whole car and the vehicle now looks better than when I bought it. You can actually hear those little rust causing impurities coming off the finish. Stop destroying your clear coat or settling for less than a perfectly smooth finish get this product! I do not own stock in, or work for, Mother's Car Care prducts.

Wwww...wow!!!
After reading numerous raving reviews here at Amazon.com and at several other sites, and learning that auto clay was safe for clear coat paints because it works through a non-abrasive process, I decided to give it a try -- and boy, was I glad I did!

My car was covered with a stubborn deposit of dirt and grime that simply would not come off with a car wash. It seemed that the dirt and grime had gotten lodged in the paint and wouldn't budge no matter how hard I tried washing the car. After every car wash, I would run my fingers through the paint and it would still feel gritty.

That was when I learned about Mothers 07240 California Gold Clay Bar Paint Saving System Kit. The results were astounding! After using it, the paint no longer felt gritty but glassy-smooth. The paint was no longer dulled by contaminants and the car looked like it has a new coat of paint! I was immensely pleased with the results.

Unlike a lot of car polish or polishing compounds that use abrasion to strip away surface contaminants, auto clay simply picks up surface contaminants and locks them into the clay. The clay looks and feels exactly like plasticine (Play-doh®) and it is used along with the included "lubricant" spray (actually, an auto soap that provide lots of suds -- like Meguiar's Gold Class -- will work equally well.)

Mind you, car polish still has its place in paint restoration because claying will not remove scratches; only a car polish or a polishing compound (harsher) can do that. And remember, always follow the claying with an application of wax to shield your paint from new contaminants. Also, clay your car every so often and you will keep the paint looking like new!

I am giving Mothers 07240 California Gold Clay Bar Paint Saving System Kit my highest recommendation. Go on, try it and see for yourself firsthand the difference it makes in your car paint. It's worth every penny and I'm sure you'll be glad you did!

The only clay bar kit you need!
I've used clay bar kits from four different manufacturers. All did the job fine (though some old Meguiar's clay bar caused some minor scratches in one car's paint). That said, this Mother's California Gold Clay Bar kit is a GREAT clay bar kit and it's very well priced.

As long as Mother's continues to make this kit I will continue to buy it.
